Established in 1994, Bay Networks was the leading manufacturer of network products in the early 90s. Acquired by Nortel in 1999, the company became the division for SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) networking products. Their surviving brand of routers is Netgear which is known for its reliability for outdoor and indoor wireless networking. Aside from efficient networking devices, the company has also sold devices that increase security of networks as well as efficient data storage.
