The R4100 is a router and a VoIP gateway. As a router, the device is optimized for VPN transactions as it has the capability to handle 10 connections with full hardware support. This feature could even be pushed to 100 VPN tunnels. The device also has 8 DSP channels capable of 32 VoIP channels at the same time. The existing firewall protects the transactions while QoS maintains quality in VoIP.
